Georgiana Rebekah

Georgiana Rebekah (b.1997) is a young artist based in Leeds. During the first year of her undergraduate degree in Fine Art at Leeds Arts University, Georgiana specialised in landscapes. This research was recorded through photographs and rough sketches made on location. Upon reflection on these documented images, Georgiana noticed the pattern of not only capturing the landscape but also textures and the rich colour palettes within each scene.

Since then, Georgiana has produced many artworks based around the transformation of
materials, from performing oxidisation methods on her metal sculptural pieces to recreating texture and movement within her painting techniques.

Since graduating from University in 2018, Georgiana has taken part in exhibitions across the country, had work showcased in several galleries, and collaborated with multiple creatives, including a furniture designer which landed her a spot at ‘100% Design’ three years in a row.

Georgiana is most proud of having her work showcased and then auctioned at the
Leadenhall Building in London where she then went on to win an artist residency in Tuscany.

Forgotten
Hopeful

Georgiana’s most recent series of works is about emotions. What started as escapism
during the pandemic turned into a collection of pieces that she hopes viewers can relate to, evoking an emotional response. Each painting is an abstract depiction of a feeling using
texture and colour on a circular canvas to represent her passion for the organic form and
nature.
