The Tree of Life mural launches at Redbrick

Redbrick-based local artist, Tom Wood, is known for his imaginative and allusive abstract and figurative work.

In association with Kirklees Council and Creative Scene, Tom was commissioned to create a large-scale mural for the side of the Redbrick building. The image is called, 'The Tree of Life' as a tribute to the healing power of nature.

Tom says "I took my inspiration in the quiet times from the trees in the garden and the beautiful bird song. I hope the mural becomes a landmark within the community and reminds those who see it to pause now and again and reflect on the importance and beauty of the natural world".
